Birthdays are the most-celebrated reason for gift basket giving. Learn how to make beautiful designs for friends and family.

Birthday Gift Basket Ingredients

It's difficult to share birthday gift basket ideas, because every basket is custom made for the receiver. To create a fabulous basket the person will always remember means knowing the person's preferences so you can include lots of items the receiver will keep and not give away.

What's his favorite pastime? If it's fishing, a tackle box is a great container if you're looking for something more unique than a basket container.

Does she love to shop? A hat box container is a terrific base. Fill it with items with a shopping theme such as gift cards, shoe insoles, decorative bag, and keychain that says, "Shop 'till you drop!"

Here's a quick list of what to consider when making your custom birthday basket.

  • Color choices (solids, patterns, stripes)
  • Flavor favorites (sweet, sour, tangy)
  • Food textures (soft, crunchy, chewy)
  • Gift items (books, plush, fragrances, accessories)
